WINNING WAZE
Realize Your Journey to Success

Soon after starting my career at IBM, I got involved helping in a lot of capacities above and beyond my job duties there. A coworker was talking to me one day, and said, “there’s something about you that’s hard to describe–you just have winning ways.” I was touched by the compliment, but at that time I didn’t really understand what she saw in me or meant by it.
Reflection
As I look back on my experiences at work and beyond, I can start to recognize examples of what she may have meant by “winning ways.”
Like my dad who taught high school history his whole life, I’m a teacher at heart. I’ve made it a point throughout my career and personal life to help everyone around me to grow and succeed. I feel like I can achieve better results anywhere I go as I build up others; I know that my own limitations are compensated for when the strengths of other team members are shared and exercised.
While I’ve taken on opportunities as they come over the years to teach, mentor, and build up my coworkers around me, I formed Winning Waze to help me open up in more ways to help others recognize the pathway to success in their endeavors. There’s so much I’ve learned in over 20 years in Marketing, eCommerce, Finance, Product, Customer Behaviors, and Strategy in large worldwide enterprises and smaller companies; lessons that I’ve taken along with me into each employer I’ve had and every role I’ve functioned in. My priority is on “sharing” over “faring” (a spirit of giving over seeking a profit), and I will continue to use my role as a Trainer-Consultant with Winning Waze to freely share my insights with friends and coworkers, while leaving open the possibility to engage more directly on specific challenges and problems you or your business may face.
